Exams are nearly finished! Only 4 more days to go and I am free! Hopefully I'll do well :S I just need a pass to get through my first year of University as the first year doesn't count towards my final degree (thank God!).

I should be getting a new lens soon, I would've bought it today if I hadn't forgot to bid on it on ebay -.- the ending bid was £140, which is about £100 cheaper than retail. I am SO annoyed about forgetting

Sigma 28-70mm f/2.8


Not the f/2.8-4, the one I'm getting is more expensive because it has a max aperture of 2.8 throughout it's zoom, which is crazy good! There is another cheap one up on ebay at the moment it ends in 3 or 4 days (I should go check really...) Hopefully I'll be getting my hands on that one


EDIT: I won an auction on a Canon 50mm f/1.4 lens today, for £238! Excellent deal

I found myself sitting around staring at my ceiling and wondering, reminiscing about the past. The good times, the bad times, but mainly the good times

The last 2 years have been amazing, but much too short to fathom any reality from. It all seems like a beautiful dream, the people I've met, the things I've learned, the objects I've picked up (photography is my beautiful harlot ).

I sat and thought then of the time I have ahead, the decades I have to live my life. The time I will spend locked into the real world, the world of work, debt and social strife.

I sat and thought. These times right now. These are the good times. These are the times in which I must hold dearest to my heart and make the most of.


Work Hard. Play Hard.

That is what I must do.

I'm currently sat in the Starbucks of Dubai International Airport waiting for the boarding to start for my flight back to the UK.

I've spent the last 5 blissful days doing a lot of Architectural and Landscape photography. I have also managed to get my hands on a brand spanking new Sigma 10-20mm lens for my Canon ^-^ I love my new lens A LOT, it's a beautiful contraption!

This means that I shall be putting up a new set of photos VERY soon

I have also got my hands on a Sigma 70-300mm lens, which is lovely, so hopefully I can put that to good use when I get back to University So you won't have to wait until the end of Easter to see some more photos, because in Easter I go to Beijing That means: The Forbidden City, The Great Wall of China and a lot of cultural photos from the back streets of Beijing, that have been left untouched by the fiend that is Tourism!

Weeks seem to be racing by nowadays despite the workload, which is worrying haha I'm staying on top of work though. My Photography is so far in the backseat it's almost in the boot now >.< Damn.

I need a day when I can just go out and photograph things. I never thought a social life would hinder me this much haha

Ah well, I'm sure I'll be given an opportunity soon

Wednesday, 22nd October is now the birthday for my brand new shiny:

Macbook!

I went and spent about £1200 on my new notebook, and I am IMMENSELY happy with it! I bought the top spec of course I guess that means no more alcohol for me for a while.
